Also, as a result of the fire, the wing of building B where the unit is located was substantially refurbished and the hallway where the unit is located was completely rebuilt so that it is essentially a new entrance. The now nearly new unit is a larger one bedroom/bath, over 800 square feet on the top (3rd floor) on the very quiet garden side of the complex facing north toward Mission Bay and away from busy West Point Loma Blvd and the parking areas. The reserved parking spot for the unit is conveniently located on the building side of the parking area directly at the foot of the stairwell. There is an elevator in the front vestibule. The unit was completely rebuilt from the studs inward including all new electrical wiring, new plaster walls (not drywall) and, at the time, the new wiring was completed, recessed lights were installed in the ceilings, fans (Minka Aire) were added in the living and bedroom and an in-wall heater with an automatic timer was installed in the bathroom before all the walls and ceilings were closed up. All of the exterior doors and windows are in a beige toned maintenance free vinyl that will not pit or discolor from the healthy salt air from the nearby ocean.
